How to take a reading.
Press the power button, hold still, and read the temperature when the device beeps. Three placements to choose from:
Oral
Place the tip under the tongue and close the lips around it.
Underarm
Tuck the tip into the armpit and keep the arm pressed down.
Rectal
Often used for infants — insert gently for a core reading.
